Laowai is a feature-length coming-of-age comedy about a paranoid writer who moves to China to separate himself from everyone he knows while trying to break a curse.

I moved to China from February 2016 to August 2019 to integrate myself in a group of expats and gather stories to make a movie. I spent two years writing and built a production company from the ground up to carry out the shoot in Hefei, China.
